Last month, Total Retail presented its annual Total Retail Virtual Conference & Expo (TRV), a virtual event for retailers that combined educational content and networking opportunities. It was a day-long conference that brought the latest retail trends, ideas and technologies right to your computer — for FREE. (If you missed the live date, don't worry. The day began with an all-female panel discussing their startup stories, followed by a video with Eoin Comerford, CEO of Moosejaw, who discussed the brand's fanatical customer base. Speakers from Influencer Central and Pawstruck.com explained the best tactics for finding and using influencers; marketplace pros from Bluefly, Newegg, Wal-Mart and Shop.com offered their thoughts on during a session titled, "More Than Just Amazon: Why Marketplaces Are An Increasingly Popular Option for Retailers and Brands"; and, last but not least, emerging in-store technologies were discussed with Eric Anderson, executive vice president of portfolio brands, Fossil.
