Rally House Hires Nearly 8,000 Via AI and Automation Tool
Rally House, the fastest-growing officially licensed sports apparel and merchandise retailer in the nation, recently expanded from 140 to nearly 300 stores. To help support that growth, Rally House used real-time data and predictive analytics to launch geo-targeted hiring campaigns, enabling the retailer to staff new locations even before construction was complete. The retailer partnered with Phenom, leveraging its applied AI and automation as part of the store expansion to impressive results:
- 5,800-plus interviews automatically scheduled in just three months, dramatically reducing time-to-interview from days to hours;
- 10,000 hours saved through automation, freeing store managers to focus on operations and customer service;
- 7,992 employees successfully hired in 2024 through automated workflows, proving that AI-driven processes deliver real outcomes at scale; and
- 122 percent cost savings achieved through reduced dependence on paid job advertisements and more efficient sourcing strategies.
Total Retail's Take: As Rally House grows rapidly, the retailer needed to invest in solutions that could just as quickly scale its operations. With a expanding physical footprint, Rally House needed a way to identify and hire the employees necessary to staff those locations. Like many other challenges confronting retail organizations, Rally House turned to AI for a solution. Specifically, the licensed sports apparel retailer worked with Phenom to introduce solutions such as mobile-first QR code applications placed throughout its stores, AI-powered chatbot screening, predictive hiring campaigns, and automated interview scheduling. All of the efforts were designed to remove friction from the recruitment and hiring processes while preserving transparency and fairness.
“The time saved, the candidate quality that we’re surfacing to the top, and our ability to differentiate from our competitors — that’s something Phenom’s applied AI has helped us do," notes Bryan Brazil, talent acquisition manager at Rally House, in a press release from Phenom. "It’s helped us add a personal touch at scale, which is absolutely essential in high-growth retail environments like ours.”
