Nordstrom is testing curbside pickup for online orders at several stores across the country, including the retailer's downtown Nordstrom flagship store. Customers have had the option to select in-store pickup when buying online since 2008. Now customers at the test location can choose the option of calling or texting as they near the store. A store employee will run the purchase outside so the customer never has to leave his or her car.

Three months into his tenure as CEO for wellness and supplement retailer GNC, Mike Archbold could hardly sound more optimistic about the company and the business. "There are so many great things about this brand," said Mr. Archbold, 54, citing GNC's position as market leader and its strong cash flow, as well as customers whom he declared "the most loyal in the industry." The National Football League is preparing to throw open the doors to its huge pop-up store on Sixth Avenue and 41st Street in New York City. The store, the league's first-ever pop-up venue in New York, is timed with the NFL Draft, to be held April 26 just blocks away at Radio City Music Hall. 

Clothing retailer American Apparel has signed a short-term agreement for 17,000 square feet of retail space at the , developer and building manager Rose Associates announced today. The lease comes on the heels of several other short-term lease agreements at the Sixth Avenue building, between 25th and 26th streets, with Spirit, a Halloween store that rented the space in September and October, and with furniture store Knoll, which hosted its annual warehouse sale in the space in November.
