Pressure Mounts for Marketers, Survey Shows
As the nation’s economy continues to spiral downward and consumers spend less, U.S. marketers feel increased pressure to perform. According to a recent survey from Eloqua, a provider of integrated demand generation platforms for B-to-B marketing programs, 86 percent of marketers surveyed say they feel greater pressure to account for better results. Here are some more noteworthy findings of the survey:
* 68 percent of marketers surveyed said they’re now measuring the quantifiable results of marketing to the bottom line;
* 64 percent said their marketing programs are more effective today than they were three years ago; and
* 95 percent of marketers surveyed said they plan to significantly increase their staffs and budgets over the next three years.
