Payless ShoeSource announced that it will rebuild its tornado-demolished store in Joplin, Mo., with a new 3,100-sq.-ft. store at the same location. “The people of Joplin have been through a great loss and they need the support of many to build-back all that was lost," said LuAnn Via, CEO and president of Payless. "They are now energized by their future and focused on rebuilding a community even better than before. And we'll be there with them."

WOONSOCKET, R.I. — CVS Caremark announced that it has donated approximately $40,000 in monetary and in-kind donations to support residents of Joplin, Mo., who were impacted by the recent tornado.

The Home Depot Foundation, the philanthropic arm of The Home Depot, announced it will donate $1 million to the immediate relief, recovery and long-term rebuilding efforts in Joplin, Mo. The foundation will be in Joplin this week to assess the long-term needs of the community and how best to partner with non-profit groups to deploy volunteers, dollars and products as Joplin rebuilds.
