Pin of the Week: The Digital Campaign Landscape
Hi everyone, and welcome to this week's Pin of the Week. This week's pin is an infographic titled The Digital Campaign Landscape, which is based on a study from Retargeter, a full-service display advertising platform provider.
The infographic, originally found on Econsultancy's website, shows what each presidential candidate spent on their 2012 online ads over the course of their campaigns. As the infographic shows, this year's presidential race is by far the most expensive in history. Govenor Romney spent nearly $23 million on his campaign, while President Obama spent $52 million, $12 million more than it cost to build the Lincoln Memorial. Overall, ad spending increased from $22.2 million in 2008 to $78 million in 2012, a 251 percent increase.
