Saks Fifth Avenue to Open First Freestanding Shoe Store

Saks Fifth Avenue has unveiled plans to up the shoe ante across the luxury department store circuit. The high-end department store announced plans to open a freestanding shoe store in Greenwich, Conn. According to Women's Wear Daily, the famous 10022-shoe department at Saks’ Manhattan flagship store, which has since been reproduced in 19 other Saks store locations, is expected to open its own gilded doors in the fall of 2016.
