RadioShack to Double its Kiosk Presence in Target Stores

Fort Worth, Texas-based RadioShack Corp. plans to almost double its presence in Target stores, where it operates wireless departments for the retail giant. Minneapolis-based Target Corp. first outsourced its mobile phone department to RadioShack in November 2009. At the end of 2010, RadioShack ran mobile departments in 850 Target stores. The company plans to increase that figure to about 1,450 Target stores by June 30, according to a recent U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission filing.
