Jet.com burst out of the gate on Tuesday with its online sales model that could threaten Amazon.com and other e-commerce vendors. But the company, with far less fanfare, is also launching with a relatively new — albeit not entirely — model of employee compensation. Jet.com employees’ salaries are pre-set based on their position, CEO Marc Lore tells me.
