Dillard’s will pay $50,000 and provide additional and unspecified relief to settle an age discrimination lawsuit filed by the U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC). The EEOC’s complaint alleges that Dillard’s fired 61-year-old Virginia Keene from her job as an area sales manager with the company’s Cary, N.C., store and replaced her with a 24-year-old employee with only four months of experience in the same position.
