American Eagle, Macy’s employ Facebook mobile feature

American Eagle Outfitters and Macy’s announced Wednesday they will participate in Facebook Deals, which provides customers with special offers when they check in to Facebook Places using their smartphones. When customers check in to Facebook Places from a Macy’s store, they will get a pop-up yellow icon that will include an offer for 20% off most apparel, accessories, jewelry and select home items, or 10% off electrics/electronics, furniture and mattresses.
