Since joining Purple, the world’s first comfort technology company backed by science, selling mattresses and pillows, among other items, in 2018 as its CEO, Joe Megibow has been on a mission to create the right organizational culture — one that values it employees and customers, fosters a diverse and inclusive environment, while still maintaining the fun nature that the brand has become known for.

In the above video snippet, which was taken from a larger conversation featuring Megibow during last month's Women in Retail and Total Retail Virtual Exchange, he describes the challenges he's faced in developing the right culture at Purple, as well as the actions he took to help make the company a more desirable place for people to work. Furthermore, Megibow addresses the gains that Purple has made in diversifying its leadership ranks.
