Sales at the company's HSN segment increased 4% to $501.9 million, including 8% growth in digital sales. Cornerstone's net sales increased 11% to $265.3 million, including 17% growth in digital sales. Adjusted EPS increased 10% to 67 cents compared with 61 cents in the prior year. New York City -- Modell’s Sporting Goods said Tuesday it will celebrate the grand opening of three new locations in Brooklyn, N.Y., Fresh Meadows, N.Y., and Wayne, N.J., on March 8. The Fresh Meadows store measures 13,000 sq. ft., the Wayne store is 16,700 sq. ft., and the Brooklyn store is 15,900 sq. ft. Kroger said it's promoted Mark Tuffin to president of its Smith’s Division, succeeding the retiring Jim Hallsey. Tuffin joined Smith's in 1996, and most recently served as vice president, merchandising. In 2009, he was named vice president, transition for Kroger. Tuffin will assume responsibilities upon Hallsey's retirement at the end of July.
