Women's apparel retailer Madewell Inc., a division of New York-based J. Crew Group Inc., opened a new flagship in Manhattan’s Flatiron district on April 26, according to www.wwd.com. The 6,500-sq.-ft., two-level unit—situated at 115 Fifth Ave. on the southeast corner of 19th Street—is the largest location in the 22-unit chain, and features imposing 19-ft. arched windows and Corinthian columns from the original 1869 building that housed the former Arnold Constable department store.
