In this episode of Total Retail Tech Insights, Editor-in-Chief Joe Keenan interviews Omar Akilah, corporate vice president of commerce products, and Eugene Amigud, corporate vice president of commerce at Blue Yonder, the world leader in digital supply chain and omnichannel commerce fulfillment. Akilah and Amigud discuss their professional backgrounds and current roles, how Blue Yonder helps retailers power their supply chains, and their evaluation of the current state of the supply chain. They share the level of technology needed in retail stores to meet today's consumer expectations for cross-channel experiences, as well as what retailers should be evaluating when looking to optimize the connected commerce experience.
Furthermore, Akilah and Amigud discuss how Blue Yonder helps retailers with inventory forecasting and planning, the collaboration needed across an organization to compete in today's speed-driven environment, and the importance of real-time access to inventory and customer data. Lastly, they share the three things retailers need to focus on to make supply chain a competitive differentiator.
