Back-to-School Shopping Study: The When, Where and What Driving Consumer Decision Making
Back-to-school shopping season is also one of the most wonderful times of the year for retailers, representing a multibillion dollar business opportunity. With planned spending for 2018 at near-peak historical levels, retailers are poised to profit — if they can stand out from the competition and meet consumers’ ever-growing set of expectations.
To help retailers be nimble and opportunistic, Monetate partnered with research firm Researchscape International in July to learn about consumers’ shopping plans for this back-to-school season, from where and when they plan to shop, to how different incentives and personalization approaches may impact their decision making.
This report highlights the key findings from the survey of more than 500 U.S. consumers on their back-to-school shopping habits, enabling retailers to optimize their consumer engagement strategies in the weeks ahead and for years to come.
