In what's becoming a more common occurrence in the retail industry, particularly in the apparel and accessories category, preppy clothing brand Country Club Prep is opening its first brick-and-mortar location after having operated only online for its first two years of existence.

Country Club Prep's co-founders, Matt Watson and Steve Glasgow, who were law school classmates at the University of Virginia (Charlottesville, Va., the home of UVA, is where the company's first physical store can be found), joined Retail Online Integration's Managing Editor Joe Keenan for an interview last week to discuss, among other things, why the formerly online-only brand opened a physical storefront, why they believe the reverse online-to-offline business model makes sense, and how they plan to overcome the challenges that come with being an omnichannel retailer.
