Macy's has tapped Martine Reardon as its new chief marketing officer. The announcement comes amid a series of senior executive moves at the retailer, prompted by the retirement of Ron Klein, Macy's chief stores officer. Peter Sachse, who was named Macy's first chief marketing officer in 2003, will take Klein's place.
It's been said ad nauseam — the customer is always right. Macy's takes that famous saying one step further by trying to provide the best customer experience possible with its My Macy's campaign.
The Knot, a media company that targets brides-to-be and pregnant women, said that Macy's has sold back its 10.7 percent stake in The Knot for $37.7 million. The Knot didn't give a reason for the repurchase and said it's part of a previously announced $50 million buyback plan.
