UK-based department store Debenhams partnered with augmented reality mobile marketing application Goldrun to place 10 virtual party dresses in various locations around the UK for shoppers to discover. The app sees the digital garments “hidden” at specific landmarks. Using the app on the iPhone or iPad2, consumers can scan the area for the items and then see themselves trying each garment on.
