eBay has added a feature to its search engine that uses its catalog to suggest "popular products" underneath search suggestions. When a shopper starts to type in the search box, eBay begins to make suggestions about what the consumer may be looking for — that's not new. But underneath the suggested search terms, eBay now displays two "popular products" along with tiny thumbnail images of those products.
