Stockholm-based H&M Hennes & Mauritz LP (H&M) and Los Angeles-based Forever 21 Inc. recently announced plans to open flagship stores in Miami, according to www.wwd.com. In 2012, H&M will occupy 22,000 sq. ft. of the Lincoln Theatre, New World Symphony’s former Art Deco location before relocating to Frank Gehry’s campus. Farther west on the pedestrian mall, Forever 21 will open a three-story, 39,000-sq.-ft. flagship in September 2011. Housed in the former Saks Fifth Avenue space, the historic building is the largest specialty retail store in Miami Beach. SAVE | EMAIL | PRINT | MOST POPULAR | RSS |
