Meet the First Brands on Instagram Video
Instagram has just upped the ante. CEO Kevin Systrom announced Instagram for video yesterday in a press conference. While similar to competitor Twitter's Vine, the platform varies in many ways. The new feature allows 15 seconds of filming, a front and back camera angle, 13 features, and "Cinema," a stabilization capability to make footage less shaky. Not even 24 hours later, brands such as lululemon, Michael Kors, Burberry and Free People have already made an attempt to market with the newest feature. Ad Age reports on how Systrom believes 15 seconds is the perfect amount of time to record.
"Asked why his team had settled on a 15-second cap instead of six, Instagram CEO Kevin Systrom said they felt it struck the right balance between not too short, 'which constrains your creativity,' and not too long. 'It's that Goldilocks moment - it just feels right,' he said."
