Lowe’s Shuffles Executives, Makes Promotions

Lowe’s said it's made several key promotions and moves in its human resources, legal, merchandising, logistics and information technology areas. Maureen K. Ausura was promoted to executive vice president human resources, from senior vice president in the same capacity. Gaither M. Keener has been promoted to executive VP general counsel, secretary and chief compliance officer, from senior VP in the same capacity. Both will continue reporting to CEO Robert Niblock.

Marks & Spencer Steal Tesco's E-Commerce Director

Marks & Spencer has poached Laura Wade-Gery, Tesco's e-commerce director, to lead its campaign to sell more goods over the internet and telephone. Wade-Gery, who had agreed to become the commercial director of Tesco's non-food operation in March, changed her mind to take up the newly created position of executive director of multi-channel ecommerce at M&S.

American Apparel Names New CFO

American Apparel announced that it's named John J. Luttrell as executive vice president and CFO, and moved its current CFO Adrian Kowlewski into the position of executive vice president corporate strategy, effective Feb. 7. Luttrell was previously CFO of Gap's Old Navy brand.

Fossil Adds to its Senior Leadership Team

HSN announced that Jill Braff has been appointed executive vice president of digital commerce, effective Feb. 7. Braff will report directly to Mindy Grossman, CEO of HSN Inc. In her new position, Braff will oversee HSN's existing e-commerce, mobile and social media platforms.

Hot Topic Divisional Chief Resigns

Hot Topic has announced that Chris Daniel, president of the company's plus-size Torrid division, has resigned, effective April 29. The company has named Betsy McLaughlin as interim head of Torrid upon Daniel's departure, and said it will conduct an outside search for a permanent replacement.

New York & Company Names New CEO

New York & Company announced that it's promoted Gregory Scott, president, to the role of CEO, effective Feb. 12. As previously announced, Richard Crystal, current chairman and CEO, will retire from the company and its board of directors effective Feb. 11. Grace Nichols, who has served as a director since March 2008, will assume the role of non-executive chair of the board effective Feb. 12. Scott will remain a director of New York & Company’s board, which will be comprised of ten members.
