rue21 Announces Executive Promotions

rue21, a teen specialty apparel retailer, this week announced two promotions to its executive leadership team. Dirk Armstrong has been appointed to the newly created position of chief operating officer. Armstrong has been with rue21 for nearly five years and was formerly senior vice president and director of stores. Brett Trent was named to the newly created position of chief marketing officer. Mr. Trent has spent the past two years in the roles of chief digital officer and prior to that, senior vice president of digital retail.
