Hudson's Bay CFO to Stay With Company Until Replacement is Found

Hudson’s Bay Company’s Chief Financial Officer Paul Beesley is remaining with the company while it searches for his replacement. Beesley was set to exit HBC, which operates Hudson's Bay, Lord & Taylor, Saks Fifth Avenue and other chains, last week.

Back in March, Hudson’s Bay was reportedly in talks to acquire luxury retailer Neiman Marcus Group, but that deal fell through. The same happened earlier in the year when HBC made a bid for Macy’s.

HBC's new CFO will have to deal with the industrywide trend of consumers increasingly choosing to shop online, and therefore needing to make the in-store experience something that attracts shoppers.
