Wal-Mart wants cord-cutters. And the retail behemoth will make it easier for them to buy everything they need, including access to the Wal-Mart-owned Vudu over-the-top programming package, from a special promotional section in 2,100 stores nationwide.

Ikea announced plans to install solar energy panels on 10 additional store locations, its entire presence in the southern United States. Pending governmental permits, installation will begin this winter, with completion expected in summer 2012.
