Wal-Mart Sold ‘US-Made’ Products That Were Actually Foreign

America’s largest retailer was doing something very un-American. Wal-Mart has been selling products online that claim to be made in the USA when in fact they're not. After it was threatened with a potential probe by the Federal Trade Commission, Wal-Mart said that it has a problem with its website design. Truth in Advertising, a nonprofit that investigates deceptive marketing practices, fired off a letter to Wal-Mart last week claiming that it found 100 items on the retailer’s website that were made outside of this country but carried nifty Made in the USA labels.
