Vitamin Shoppe profit more than triples in Q3

) Vitamin Shoppe reported Wednesday that profit for the quarter ended Sept. 25, surged 256% to $7.2 million, compared with net income of $2 million in the year-ago period. Revenue rose 11.3% to $187.4 million, from $168.4 million in the prior year.
