(NYSE: VSI), a leading specialty retailer and direct marketer of nutritional products, today announced preliminary results for its fiscal fourth quarter ended December 31, 2011. Fiscal fourth quarter 2011 was a 14-week quarter while fiscal fourth quarter 2010 was 13 weeks. Net sales in fiscal fourth quarter 2011 advanced 19.2% while operating income rose 46.3%.
