Worcester Business Journal Staff Writer Today Sales at TJX Cos. Inc. of Framingham rose 4 percent year-over-year in August to $1.7 billion. Comparable store sales rose 1 percent in the same period. The company said the increase was on the low end of its expected range because Hurricane Irene hurt sales at the end of the month. TJX runs discount retail stores that include T.J. Maxx, Marshalls and HomeGoods.
