Same-store sales continued to climb in January with a 4.9 percent gain versus a 3.2 percent gain In December for 31 retailers reporting, according to Kantar Retail. This was a strong performance over January 2010 when same store sales posted a 3.3 percent gain. Kantar Retail believes that shoppers continue to increase their spending plans.
