Posted to: Business Retail and Consumer TOANO Hardwood flooring retailer Lumber Liquidators says an unexpected softening in consumer demand has impacted its sales for the second quarter. The company said Thursday that sales for the period ended June 30 are expected to increase 4 percent to $175.5 million compared with the year-ago period. But sales at stores open at least one year are expected to decline 8 percent for the quarter. Lumber Liquidators also anticipates earnings of 18 to 20 cents per share in the second quarter, up from 32 cents per share a year ago. It also says
