Matthews, N.C.-based Family Dollar Stores Inc. launched its first large-format ShopperGauge Retail Learning Lab across a set of 20 stores, according to www.progressivegrocer.com. The learning labs allow the retailer and its suppliers to test designs, displays and promotions with customers in a real-time setting, with the goal of ultimately improving the in-store shopper experience.
