Claire's Stores CEO Resigns; Replacement Named

Beatrice Lafon, chief executive of Claire's Stores, the teen accessories retailer, has resigned and been replaced by a current member of the board, according to a Securities and Exchange Commission filing. Lafon also quit the board of directors of the company, which has been controlled by New York-based private equity firm Apollo Global Management since 2007. She became a member of the board in April 2014 after her appointment as CEO.
