Disruptive forces such as the rise of mobile shopping, constant connectivity and a multiscreen world have pushed the boundaries of the consumer journey. In light of dramatic changes in the consumer shopping landscape over recent years, how can retailers continue to keep up with the fast-paced changes? RetailMeNot wanted to understand what influences the success of promotions and deals, and which promotional strategies create the most effective return on investment for our retail partners. In partnership with C-Labs, based out of the Kellogg School of Management, and behavioral scientist Jon Levy, we began a yearlong research program to explore what influences consumer decision making and how to design the most effective deals.
